Free Games for Baby Showers

Free Games will keep you from panicing if you are planning a baby shower. If you’re planning a baby shower, don’t panic – there are plenty of Almost every hostess spends more money than she plans on unexpected little details. By the time you get the invitations you love, delicious food, great beverages, party favors, and decorations, you might have forgotten all about the baby shower games.

Not to worry –in this age of technology, you can find enough free games to save your baby shower. There are those that last just a few minutes, and there are also some that are ongoing and take place throughout the baby shower.

Free Games for Baby Showers for ongoing games include a really fun one called ‘Mommy Slave’. Baby showers are meant to celebrate the baby’s upcoming birth, share tips and advice with the mommy-to-be, and let Mommy be pampered a little bit before the sleepless nights begin.

The best of the free games is one that provides for some Mommy pampering. This would be Mommy Slave, also known as Mommy Waitress or Pampering Before Pampers. The guests all take turns waiting on the mother-to-be for a period of time. They make sure she has fresh beverages, plenty to eat, napkins, and a pillow behind her back. If she has to stand up, the waitress helps her. I’ve even seen foot rubs and manicures take place!

To determine who waits on the guest of honor, you could provide an activity such as a balloon pop. Before your guests arrive, write WAITRESS or SLAVE or PAMPERER or JENNIFER’S SERVANT on one slip of paper. Fold that slip and put it inside a balloon. Put blank slips in all of the other balloons, and blow up one for each guest. Put the blown up balloons in trash bags. When your guests arrive and get settled, explain the pampering mission and bring out the balloons. Empty them out in the middle of the floor and tell each guest (except for the guest of honor) to pick a balloon. Have them sit on their balloons to pop them. The winner gets the first “servant duty.” Decide how long each servant will serve based on the number of guests and the anticipated length of the party. Most baby showers last two to three hours.

If, for instance, you had twelve guests and think your baby shower will probably last about two hours, each pamperer should pamper for about ten minutes. Set a timer to go off every ten minutes and play a quick game to determine the winner. To choose the servants can be as simple as choosing the person whose gift Mommy is opening when the timer goes off. During one slave’s time period, tell the other guests they can’t say the word “baby.” The first one to say baby is the next to wait on Mommy. You can also blindfold Mommy, have everyone stand in a circle, and tell her to give her drink glass to her next slave. Because Mommy might be very pregnant and uncomfortable, it’s a better idea to have the circle around her turn instead of spinning her! It’s much easier to have one ongoing activity that spans the length of the entire baby shower to determine the winners. A free game like Waiting on Mommy has another great benefit as well – you don’t have to buy prizes for the winners!
