  • About 20 baby items like toys, clothing, toiletries and baby food
  • stiff base material about 16" around
  • 1" wide ribbon
  • Clear cellophane for wrapping the finished cake

3 Tier Baby Diaper Cake Instructions:

  • To make a three layered you will need about 25-30 disposables for the bottom layer, 15 disposables for the second layer and another 5-7 disposables for the top layer. You will also need lots of ribbon to tie the disposables together; a baby bottle and other baby care products like teethers, pacifiers and rattles.
  • Roll each disposable into a vertical cylinder and tie with a small piece of ribbon. You can also use rubber bands or scotch tape to make the cylinders but tape may render the disposables useless so be careful.
  • Take the baby bottle and put 5-7 disposables around the bottle in a circle. Tie together with a ribbon. This is the top layer.
  • Place 15 disposables in two concentric circles and tie together to make the second layer.
  • Place 30 disposables in three concentric circles and tie together to make the third layer. You can tie each circle with a ribbon and tie all three with a larger ribbon to ensure that they stay together.
  • Put the bottom layer on a round piece of cardboard and tape it in place. Put the other two layers on top of the bottom layer and tape them in place as well. Use the tape judiciously so that the mother-to-be can use the disposables later.
  • Touch up your centerpiece by adding the pacifiers, teethers and rattles.
  • Decorate with festive ribbons and get ready to celebrate!
