Ideas for a Novel
Diaper Cake Centerpiece

Google

Have you ever been to a baby shower where the Diaper Cake Centerpiece was so lovely it made you want to be the next in line to have a baby? While this is a great idea for a babyshower, you need to make sure that the diapercake you make is not just another diapercake. It has to be something that makes the women drool! Here are some unique and innovative ideas for making a diaper centerpiece that is a stunning success.

1. Make a train diaper cake centerpiece. Instead of the usual three or four tier diapercake make a mini-train diaper cake. You can have 2 or 3 bogeys and the engine. Here are some things to remember when making the train diaper cake.

  • Other than the engine, the bogey layers of the cake must all be of the same size.
  • Use ribbons to loosely connect the multiple pieces of your train.
  • You will need more space to display the train centerpiece than a traditional diapercake so organize accordingly.
  • Add a small keepsake to each bogey of the train diaper cake centerpiece so that the mother-to-be has something to cherish long after the diapers are gone.

This is especially a great idea for a boy baby shower.

    2. Make a theme color centerpiece. This is a slight twist on the traditional diaper cake centerpiece. Instead of just randomly throwing together the diaper cake, decide on a particular color depending on the theme of your shower, and then use gifts, decorative items and keepsakes in that color only. This works well if you are having a color theme baby shower or even for other themes that broadly follow a single color. So a yellow diaper cake centerpiece would work well for a yellow baby shower or a sunshine baby shower or a ducky baby shower.

    3. Make a castle centerpiece. Use the diapers to make the center stronghold and then two twin towers rising on either side of the center. Here are some things to remember when making the castle diaper cake centerpiece.

  • Keep the center stronghold low and wide. Make the side towers narrow and tall.
  • You can use inverted bottle caps or baby cups for the tops of the towers.
  • Hang loads of baby goodies all around the castle as arms and armaments.
  • Use a little princess doll as the topper for the castle diaper cake centerpiece.

This works really well for a girl baby shower.

There really is no limit to the innovative designs you can make for a diaper cake centerpiece. All it takes it a whole bunch of diapers and the willingness to experiment. If you want to add keepsakes and be extravagant when creating the diaper cake then you have the option of using it as your baby shower gift to the mother. Optionally, you could buy a separate gift and spend a little less on the diaper cake centerpiece. Just remember that a diaper cake centerpiece really adds to the ambiance so it is well worth whatever effort you spend on it.
