Bouncer Seats
 are a very useful item for the parents of a newborn. Most are portable and lightweight making them easy to bring along on a trip.
There are two types to choose from. A frame style which the baby rocks using its movement to make the rocking motion. Then their is the battery operated type that rocks itself.
They can come with an accessory toy bar, canopy, restraint and variable speeds. A bouncer seat can be used from newborn until the baby is 9 months old. You should buy a bouncer with a wide base for stablity. Watch over your infant while in the bouncer, and use a safety restraint to keep the baby from falling. Be careful of placing the bouncer on wet surfaces. The standard non-battery operated bouncer costs between $40 and $75 while the battery operated seats tend to cost a bit more.
